Easily customizable to fit around your pool, the Pool Fence DIY mesh pool safety system helps protect against accidental falls into your pool and can be installed by yourself (no contractor required). This 12-foot long section of fence has a 4-foot height (recommended by the Consumer Product Safety Commission) to help make your backyard pool area a safer place for children.
In addition to concrete and subtantial surfaces, Pool Fence DIY can be installed into pavers, on sand/crushed stone, on a wood deck, and into dirt, rock gardens, and other loose surfaces. The fence is constructed of industrial-strength Textilene PVC-coated nylon mesh, which has a strength rating of 387 pounds per square inch. The UV-resistant mesh provides years of use in all weather conditions. The stainless steel pins are easily inserted into the supp;ied sleeves (after installation) and exceeds most local safety requirements. The fence can be removed when no children are present.
To determine how much fencing your pool area needs, measure around the edge of your pool and leave 24 to 36 inches of space for walking and cleaning. After determining your total footage, divide by 12 to calculate the correct number of sections needed. When installed, poles are spaced out every 36 inches.
This package includes a 4-foot high x 12-foot long section of mesh pool fence with five integrated poles (each with a 1/2-inch stainless steel peg), deck sleeves/caps, safety latch, and template (gate sold separately). Installation requires a rotary hammer drill with a standard 5/8-inch x 14-inch (minimum) masonry bit (not included). The optional Pool Fence DIY Drill Guide (sold separately) takes the guesswork out of the drilling process for proper in-ground installation. The heart of a Pool Fence DIY system is its mesh fence. Constructed of industrial-strength, Textilene PVC-coated nylon mesh, it has a strength rating of over 270 pounds per square inch.
The polyvinyl basket weave is infused with top-of-the-line UV inhibitors that keep your pool fence looking great for years in all weather conditions.
Constructed of solid high gauge aluminum, the integrated fence posts are spaced every 36 inches. Each post has a steel peg at the bottom that slips into sleeves that have been placed into drilled holes around your pool deck.
Fence sections are connected by a stainless steel safety latch with a stainless steel spring that can be opened by left- or right-handed parents.
